Imphal, Jan. 12: Md Abid Ahmed of Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong, won the top spot in the 2nd Thambalnu Men’s Open Half Marathon Championship today.

Abid Ahmed clocked 1:16.27 hours for the title while K. Jemson, also of Assam Regimental Centre, came second with 1:16.33 hours and S. Lokendro Singh of All Manipur Ethno Socio-Cultural Organisation finished third with 1:16.38 hours.

The half marathon started off from the Manipur University gate, Canchipur, and culminated at Yairipok Bishnunaha.
