4 thieves arrested

Jalukbari police recovered four stolen motorcycles on Monday night. The two-wheelers, stolen from Guwahati recently, were seized from Chirang and Bongaigaon districts. The accused were brought to the city on Tuesday, the police said.

Cancelled

The NF Railway on Tuesday cancelled the departure of the 2501 Guwahati-New Delhi Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Express from Guwahati railway station at 6am on Wednesday after the corresponding train from New Delhi was cancelled because of fog.

Examination

The MPhil exam in zoology under Gauhati University will be held in the last week of January. The last date of submission of fee and form is Friday, a GU communiqué said on Tuesday.

Ganja seized

GRP recovered 10kg of Manipuri ganja from Howrah-bound Kamrup Express at Guwahati railway station on Tuesday. The ganja was inside a bag which was hidden in a water tank in the train’s toilet.
