Flower power

Floral patterns are in — and how. Even Tanishq has taken to the trend in a big way and unveiled Aria, a classic seven-stone diamond collection that’s set in 18k gold.

This contemporary collection is inspired by the traditional seven-stone petal arrangement and has some 300 designs in its repertoire. Women can have a field day choosing from hair jewellery, neckpieces, bangles, earrings and more, though they will have to set aside a tidy sum before they go shopping as the floor price is around Rs 2 lakh for a set. The collection is available at all Tanishq showrooms.

Drink to this

This winter, tipplers have more reasons to cheer. Wodka Gorbatschow, a leading German vodka brand, has just been launched in India through a joint venture between Allied Blenders and Distillers and Henkell & Sohnlein Sektkellereien KG Wiesbaden, Germany.

The vodka is made using a triple-chill filtration process which makes it smooth and pure. The bottle design is sophisticated yet traditional. Priced at Rs 535 for a 750ml bottle, the brand is available at all leading licensed liquor stores.

Style check

Here’s some more for style fiends. Parx has launched its Autumn Winter 2008-09 collection that’s dedicated to both day and eveningwear. Check out the striped shirts which have been designed with a fine thread count to achieve a soft feel.

These can be coordinated with denim waistcoats from the line or the velvet waistcoats that have satin trim detailing. You can choose from striped satin shirts, velvet and denim jackets and waistcoats in dark shades like grey, brown, black and blue.

The collection is available at Parx stores, Raymond showrooms and other prominent menswear stores. Prices start from Rs 699 for a tie and go up to Rs 5,499 and more for velvet jackets.
