St Xaviers (Calcutta) Alumni Association in association with The Telegraph organised the Annual Tea Meet at the college recently. The association, along with the Womens Forum, put together an evening of music, dance, games and food. Families of alumni members also participated in the fun evening.
This is our way of welcoming the newly-elected governing council members. It is special this year, since it is the associations silver jubilee year, said Firdausal Hasan, secretary of the association. Present students of the college kick-started the evening with a welcome dance. Kids put up a fun choreography routine to the tunes of Bum bum bole, while their mothers grooved to the beats of Desi girl. The association felicitated the newly-appointed East Zone selector Raja Venkat, along with mass communication teacher Swati Gautam and danseuse Nandini Sinha.
With dice and marble games, hot chaat and kachoris that perfectly complemented the tea and a cookie decoration stall, it was an enjoyable winter evening for everyone.
