Dhoni is to donate match fees

Chennai: Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni Thursday decided to donate remuneration from two matches to the victims of the terror attacks in Mumbai. “Dhoni had decided to donate the sum of two match fees to charity for victims of the Mumbai terror attacks,” sources close to him revealed. “But we don’t know it would be from which two matches,” they added.

Sanath back

Colombo: Sanath Jayasuriya has been recalled to Sri Lanka’s one-day squad for a tri-series with Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in January. Jayasuriya, 39, was rested for the recent five-match ODI series in Zimbabwe but will return for the limited-over leg of Sri Lanka’s Bangladesh tour. Mahela Udawatte, 22, has been dropped.

Warne musical

London: Shane Warne is the subject of a musical to be staged in Melbourne this week. Shane Warne: The Musical took three years in making. The show will open at the Athenaeum Theatre and is the brainchild of Eddie Perfect, an award-winning Australian singer and comedian.
