‘Would love to quiz Hitler’

I love to call myself: Sanju.

I got my first pocket money at the age of: Twelve. I would get Rs 30 and I would blow all my money on softies, orange bars and some churan. Somehow, I don’t find orange bars now; are they available?

My favourite star: I don’t like actors, I like performances.

If I were not an actor I would be: A sportsman. I am good at swimming and athletics. I have been a good sportsman all my life. I enjoyed aerobics, basketball, swimming, cycling.

I love gorging on: Being the good Punjabi boy that I am, you must be able to guess the answer —rajma chawal.

A part of me that I want to change: I’m very impulsive by nature, I want to alter that.

I can still laugh my guts out when I think about: Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and my film, Jhankaar Beats.

The child in me comes to the fore when: I see my kid.

One thing I have been wanting to do since ages: I would love to bungee jump…but I guess there is still time for it.

Is attending parties essential for an actor: Says who???

When I am nervous, I tend to: It’s weird and very embarrassing to reveal this but the truth is I get acidity when I am nervous.

My college days were: Boring. I studied in Srinagar. I’m a Bachelor in Commerce with honours, 1991. I was into bunking, big time. We would go for movies, camping, trekking and mountaineering. That was the advantage of staying in Kashmir — you can take off to be with nature anytime.

My school days were: Great fun.

A person I loved imitating: My neighbour. He was very funny. On second thoughts, I would love to copy my directors.

Given an opportunity I would love to interview: Hitler. I want to ask him why he did what he did. He must have had some kind of magnetism in him to be able to brainwash so many people. He was a very powerful man.
