Imphal, Nov. 20: Sagolband United rode high with their second victory, defeating Keinou Library and Sports Association by 5-1 goals in a qualifying knockout round match of the 52nd Sir Churchand Singh Football Tournament today.

Sagolband’s Golmei Gaikhang drew first blood in the 18th minute of the game and later Mangte Sarjan came with the second goal in the 29th minute to consolidate their dominance in the first half.

In the second half, Joseph T. Khongsai of Sagolband United came up with the third goal in the 44th minute to make the scoreline 3-0. Gomei Gaikhnag added two quick goals in a span of 10 minutes for the 5-0 lead.

Down and out, the Keinou Library men made a dying surge and finally T. Kenedy Singh netted the lone consolation goal for his team.
