Chennai, Nov. 20: CPI cadres today gheraoed former Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe on his way back from a temple in Thiruvarur district. CPI workers were protesting against the Lankan army for “killing innocent Tamils”.

Police later escorted him to Madurai, from where he flew to Chennai.
