All Sito taste Nirjuli stunner

Itanagar, Nov. 18: Nirjuli Market Welfare Committee defeated All Sito Young Youth Club by 30 runs in the second match of the 2nd under-17 Arunachal Cricket League Tournament at Indira Gandhi Park here today.

The Youth boys won the toss and sent Nirjuli to bat on a placid wicket. Biki Tassuk, played a classy innings to score a 66-ball 78 and remained not out till the end to help Nirjuli put up a modest score of 141 runs in 20 overs losing seven wickets. Likha Elu scalped three wickets in four overs giving away just 10 runs for the Youth boys.

In reply, the Youth boys started off on a cautious note as Nirjuli bowlers gave a disciplined performance.

Their tight bowling took its toll as wickets began to tumble like ninepins and half the All Sito batsmen trooped back into pavilion with just 66 runs on the board.

Finally, the team was bundled out for a paltry 111 in 15.5 overs.

Likha Kamin, with his 43-ball-26, was the highest scorer for All Sito. Song Tacho picked up four wickets in his four overs giving away 21 runs.

In another match of the day played in Dera Natung Government College Ground, Junior Cricket Club defeated Nabam Samir Cricket Club by one wicket.
