Rural job scheme
The National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme will be launched in West Khasi Hills at St John’s School Hall, Ramorai, at 11am.
Marathon
A marathon race (in junior and senior categories), synchronising the silver jubilee celebrations of Seng Samla Wahingdoh at Topsaw Wahingdoh in Shillong. The race will start at 5.30am. Cash prizes will be given to the winners.
Convention
The Nagaland People’s Front will hold its general convention at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. It will also feature cultural programmes.
Function
The 4th annual function of the Zoological Society of Cotton College, Guwahati, will be held in the department of zoology with a daylong programme. A popular talk on Conservation of Wildlife, speech competition, essay competition and general science quiz will be held.

A two-day state-level seminar on Entreprenuership among the Tribal people of Assam organised by the Assam Institute of Research for the Tribals and Scheduled Castes, Jawaharnagar, Guwahati.
