MLA case hearing over

Ranchi, Nov. 17: The hearing on petitions challenging the Assembly membership of suspended BJP legislator Vishnu Bhaiya concluded today, but Speaker Alamgir Alam granted 15 days’ time to both the petitioners and the respondent to provide more information and documentary evidence.

Alam said no more hearing in the case would take place. The verification of records would be followed by seeking the experts’ opinion .

Leader of Opposition Arjun Munda had filed a petition in the Assembly Speaker’s court a couple of months ago demanding termination of Vishnu Bhaiya’s membership under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution.

A similar plea was filed by one Samuel Paul Kerketta.
