Jeev Milkha tied 12th

Sentosa: Jeev Milkha Singh carded three-under 68 to leapfrog to tied 12th place in the $5m Barclays Singapore Open here Friday.

Digvijay Singh added one-over 72 to his opening round score of 70 and was at tied 16th, while S.S.P. Chowrasia was at 66th with Shiv Kapur. Arjun Atwal runs the risk of missing the cut at five-over unless he comes up with an extraordinary show in the remaining 12 holes.

Amritraj out

New Delhi: Prakash Amritraj crashed out of the $50,000 ATP challenger series event in Champaign, US, after a 5-7, 3-6 defeat in his second round match to Australian Carsten Ball.

Drogba charged

London: Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was charged with violent conduct by the FA on Friday for throwing a coin back into the crowd during a League Cup game against Burnley. A disciplinary committee will decide on the case on Monday.
