Garden rocks with live mummies

Ranchi, Nov. 14: Want a virtual tour to Egypt? Visit Rock Garden on the city outskirts and you can see live mummies and a lot more.

The horror effects synchronised with the sound gives an amazing feeling to the children as they watch the activities of live mummies inside the pyramids.

It was a perfect gift for the children on Children’s Day as the much awaited conceptual rides and pyramids worth Rs 2 crore was inaugurated at Rock Garden today.

The theme-based amusement park, spread over an area of 3600 square feet, has two major attractions — the rides Vortex and Salto Trampolin — imported from Switzerland. The Salto Trampoline popularly known as bungee rocket gives an adventurous feeling while jumping over ropes at a height of 40-foot.

The other ride, Vortex, is shaped like a space craft with colourful lights outside and silver surface glowing in steps. “Inside this spacecraft you will zero gravity feel through mirrors fixed inside the craft. The zooming sound also adds to the real feeling as if riding is in a real space craft,” said a college student, Manish Singh.

The entry fee for the pyramid show is Rs 3. The Vortex ride will cost you Rs 30 while Salto Trampoline leave you poor by Rs 50.

Owner of Rock Garden, Neeraj Singh said that the inspiration to develop such amusement park was taken from Orlando.

“I had visited Orlando along with my colleagues, where we were really excited to see the world’s largest amusement park. We decided to start this unique project in India and implemented in our town,” Singh pointed out.

The concept of pyramid had been visualised to give the audience a feeling of the Egyptian era.” The different effects created inside the arena gives perfect looks. It gives the feeling that we are actually visiting the pyramids of Egypt. Today we provided free shows and rides on the occasion of Children’s Day,” he said.

The interiors of the pyramid is done in golden sand colour while walls are adorned with the mural paintings.

Singh added that it took almost seven months to build these pyramids. “We are looking forward to make this place a major tourist attraction without disturbing the ecological balance,” he said.
