Bongaigaon, Nov. 13:
Deputy commissioner of Bongaigaon M. Angamuthu today constituted a three-member body, headed by joint director of health services Kanak Chandra Talukdar, to monitor illegal practices and ensure closure of pathological and research centres running without staff or any infrastructure.
Arrested
Dhubri:
Seven Bodo militants were arrested in a joint operation by police and army from Belkoba in Dhubri on Thursday on charges of possessing illegal weapons. The police recovered one AK-56 rifle and 10 rounds of ammunition.
Lok adalat
Dibrugarh:
A lok adalat will be held at Chabua and Khowang in Dibrugarh on November 15 and 16. A total of 313 criminal cases and nine civil cases were settled recently by the adalat held at the Dibrugarh District Sessions Court.
Awareness
Dhubri:
An awareness meeting on total sanitation campaign was held recently at the Uttar Geramari panchayat office in Dhubri.
