Forex kitty

Mumbai, Nov. 8: The country’s foreign exchange reserves further fell $5.53 billion for the week ended October 31 to $252.88 billion from $258.41 billion in the previous week. The reserves has fallen for the sixth consecutive week. The foreign currency assets fell $5.34 billion to $244.04 billion from $249.39 billion in the week before, the RBI said.

Tech Mahindra

London, Nov. 8: Tech Mahindra will open a call centre in South Tyneside, UK. The regional development agency, One North-East, has given the firm £2 -million grant to bring the company to the area. Tech Mahindra, in collaboration with British Telecom, will recruit about 500 IT and call centre staff for five years.

Drug deal

Mumbai, Nov. 8: Elder Pharmaceuticals will manufacture and market some of the products of Daiwa Pharmaceuticals in India. “The company initially proposes to launch Imbran, a nutritional supplement for immunity enhancement, in the Indian market,” Elder Pharmaceuticals said in filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
