Army ‘hurt’ by arrest

New Delhi, Nov. 6 (PTI): The deputy army chief today said the arrest of a serving officer in a terror case had “hurt” the “prestige” of the force. “Indian Army’s prestige has been hurt after our officer’s name came up in Malegaon blast case,” Lt Gen S.P.S. Dhillon said in New Delhi.

Shrikant Purohit, a lieutenant colonel, was yesterday arrested in Mumbai for allegedly supplying money and explosives for the September 29 Malegaon blast.
