Prasanna suggestion for Tests
Chandigarh: Legendary spin bowler Erapalli Prasanna Saturday said there was no immediate threat to the existence of Test cricket but to survive the onslaught of popular formats like the Twenty20, the longer version of the game has to be made more ‘spectator-friendly’.
“I think Test Cricket is no more spectator-friendly and in the wake of Twenty20 format becoming popular, those governing the game will have to make it more interesting for people to watch,” 68-year-old Prasanna said. He suggested that the tickets should be issued for different sessions to encourage a good turnout. He also suggested some changes in the rule book to make the game more interesting.
