The three-year-old daughter of a tea labourer slipped and fell into a 30-foot well at an estate in Karimganj yesterday but was pulled out by neighbours. earing cries for help, garden labourers climbed down the slippery well and dragged Punam Madrassi out.
Beaten to death
Haflong:
A 22-year-old worker of a grocery shop, Ajit Das, was beaten up by suspected militants in Haflong town on Monday night. He died on his way to the hospital.
