Kali Puja weather

Calcutta, Oct. 27: Calcutta and its surrounding areas will see clear skies on Kali Puja, the weather office has said.

The cyclone that was crawling towards Bengal last night hit the Bangladesh coast around 4.30am today and has formed a low pressure system over Meghalaya, the Met office added.

Duo killed

Chinsurah: A gang shot dead two youths inside a telephone booth on GT Road in Chinsurah on Monday night. Police said eight youths came around 8pm in an auto-rickshaw and shot at Sheikh Kamaluddin and Sheikh Moinuddin. Both died on the spot. The duo hailed from Champdani, in Hooghly district, and had criminal antecedents.
