Imphal, Oct. 24: L. Gogocha Singh’s inspired performance led Imphal West District Football Association into the final of the 20th Under-19 Junior Boys’ Inter-District Football Tournament, defeating District Sports Association, Churachandpur, 2-0 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium today.

In the second semi-final, poor defending ensured a defeat for District Sports Association, Kakching, which fell to Imphal East District Football Association 4-1.

Imphal East District Football Association will take on Imphal West District Football Association in the final on Sunday evening.

Just one minute into the game, Imphal West fired their first salvo through Gogocha Singh.

In the 63rd minute of the game, Singh moved past two defenders to come up with his second goal en route to the final today.

In the match between Imphal East District Football Association and DSA Kakching, Ng Jitkumar Singh of Imphal East scored the first goal.
