Vidya Balan is having a real tough time on the sets of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ishqiya. Why? She needs to drive on screen! And poor Vidya has a driving phobia... she gets super scared behind the wheel. But Vishal is one of the hardest taskmasters in the industry. He refused to cheat and insisted that Vidya actually drive the car in the film. Just like the talented composer-director had Saif learn the UP dialect for Omkara, he had Vidya take driving lessons for Ishqiya. “She was petrified at the thought of driving,” reveals our khabru on the sets. “ But not anymore! After many trials and tribulations, Vidya is now pretty comfortable manoeuvring her car on the road.” Thereafter Vidya has not stopped thanking Vishal for making her overcome her fears.
