Calcutta: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled one of its four annual board meetings in Dubai on October 14 and 15 to discuss several important issues.
According to an ICC release, the umpire referral system which was tried out during Indias tour of Sri Lanka will be reviewed.
Also on the agenda is the concept of an alternative structure to bilateral tours after the current Future Tours Programme (FTP) finishes in 2012.
The ICC will look at ways to protect and promote all three forms of cricket, with special emphasis being given to Test cricket.
The board will also look at slotting the Champions Trophy in 2009s FTP. ICC president David Morgan is slated to brief about his meeting with ICL promoter Subhash Chandra.
