Bokaro, Sept. 23: Lightning on Tuesday killed two teenagers — both girls — and injured two more of the same age group, including a boy and a girl, at Jhopro Bali- dih under Blidih police sta- tion about 14km from the steel city.

The deceased have been identified as Abroz Khatoon (13) daughter of Jumman Ansari and Hasina Khatoon (17) daughter of Nizam Khatoon

However, the injured have not been identified so far.

They were rushed to a nursing home after the incident.

Various social organisations have demanded compensation for the family of the deceased. They have also asked for ex-gratia for the injured.
