Wipro drive

Wipro BPO will be conducting a placement drive at Arya Vidyapeeth College. Organised by the Career Counselling and Placement Cell of the college, it is open to final year degree students (arts/science/commerce) and graduates who have passed out in 2008.

Function

Annual function of Srimanta Sankar Academy, Guwahati, at Rabindra Bhawan from 10am. Various cultural programmes and competitions have been organised for the occasion.

Blood

Blood donation camp at ICFAI National College (INC) by its Apha Chapter, Guwahati, from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Surgery

The second phase of free coronary bypass surgery for patients is going on at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. It will continue till Friday.

Awareness

Films meant for creating AIDS awareness will be screened free of cost at Anuradha cinema as a part of the youth festival organised under the auspices of Epitome College. Various competitive programmes, including debate competitions, will also be organised.
