The occasion: A photo-shoot for Jyotee’s new bridal line. “I just turned 20 on September 12. At 19 I had three great things to look back at. It feels great to have a super-hit film now. I was so nervous about whether people will accept me after television and for two-and-a-half-hours at that! It is an achievement that people have been able to relate me to Sakshi in the film,” gushed the demure Virgo from Pune, who shot to fame with Kasamh Se. Presumably because there were so many messages about her role in Rock On!!, it took Prachi more than two hours to recollect who was the first to congratulate her. “I think it was Shabana Azmi. I was overwhelmed,” said Prachi, in between sips of fresh lime juice.

Does the fear of getting typecast lurk somewhere? “It must not happen. When someone tries to break away from the mould, they tend to go over the top. It is not their fault. I have to keep trying something different,” said Prachi. And what’s next? “You know, I have to be really careful now. I can’t be signing 10 films out of excitement,” pat came the reply.
