‘I have one of the best bodies for sportswear’

My favourite outfit: I am most comfortable in my workout outfit — Bebe Sport stretch pants and sweat shirts.

My favourite outfit when driving to a shoot: I like wearing Juicy Couture — it’s an American brand, which has really comfortable velvet track pants and matching tops.

My favourite evening wear: Jeans teamed with a smart top. I would add on a nice pair of boots and some funky belts.

My favourite outfit for a formal occasion: I prefer wearing embroidered salwar kameez.

I like to sleep in: I really enjoy shopping for good sleep-wear because you can really pamper yourself. I like wearing Victoria Secret’s sexy silk gowns or boxers and a ganji.

My favourite designers: In India, there is Neeta Lulla. Vikram Phadnis is a friend and his fittings are very good. When I go abroad, I like wearing Diesel, Guess, Juicy Couture, Bebe Sport. I prefer clothes on the sporty side.

My favourite brand in jeans: G-Star and Diesel. I have around 10 pairs of jeans. Jeans are something you can keep over the years, the older they are, the better it is.

My favourite colours: Maroon, black and white.

My favourite fabrics: I like mul for our weather and cotton stretch. At night, I like silk or satin.

My favourite accessory: I don’t like wearing accessories, not even watches. My favourite is a pair of diamond-studded earrings — they are really classy and go with any outfit but at the same time they are not too heavy.

My favourite brands in sunglasses and bags: I like Prada for sunglasses. And in bags I like Chanel and Dior.

I buy my shoes: Abroad. There is no particular brand I patronise. I have lots of Keds as I am very fond of sports.

In Mumbai, I shop at: I only go to Ritu Kumar. I shop there once or twice in three or four months and pick up nice seasonal cottons and formal wear.

Abroad I shop at: Juicy Couture, Bebe Sports, Diesel. In London, I shop a lot at River Island.

My wardrobe is incomplete without: Cream, black and white shirts of different cuts and fits. I am a very moody dresser. The safest dress is a black/white top with a pair of jeans.

I look the best in: Sportswear. I have one of the best bodies for sportswear.

I would like my man to be dressed in: Blue jeans, a white tucked-in cotton shirt, a nice belt and macho boots.

The best-dressed men in the industry are: My father (Dharmendra) is a very easy-going dresser and he carries his clothes off very well. Fardeen (Khan) is very stylish, Suniel Shetty wears nice jackets, I like his choice of clothes. And Salman Khan, undoubtedly.

The best-dressed women in the industry are: My mom (Hema Malini), Rekhaji, Bipasha Basu and Karisma Kapoor.

The most expensive thing I have bought is: A pair of diamond earrings.

My favourite shampoo and conditioner: I use Victoria’s Secret voluminising shampoo and conditioner. It’s really nice and has a lovely fragrance.

I admire the hair of: Ameesha Patel and Shilpa Shetty.

My hairstyle for a formal occasion: I like to keep a few bangs in the front and clip up half my hair.

My hairstylist: Latika and Jaya.

The texture of my hair: I have slightly curly, more than shoulder-length hair. I have these little South Indian curls on my forehead.

My hair-care routine: I do not put too much oil in my hair as I get boils on my forehead. I condition my hair as and when I can. I go for hair treatments once in a month.

When I am not shooting: I do not put anything on my face. I just let my skin breathe because I have a very thin skin.

My favourite shades in make-up: Peach and brown.

My favourite brands in make-up: Mac and Chanel.

The feature I conceal while doing make-up: I have a big forehead so I try and frame it.

The features I like to highlight: My eyes and my lips.
