Drowned
Dhubri, Sept. 8:
A two-year-old child, Reshmina Sheikh, fell into a pond and drowned in Uttar Geramari village in Dhubri district today while she was playing. Her body was fished out in the evening.
Demand
Dhubri:
Dhubri district unit of All Adivasi Students Union and two other organisations on Monday demanded the arrest of the murderer of Munni Soansi, 27, a teacher at Chapor Tea Garden, who was found dead on September 4.
Surrender
Diphu:
Two KNLF militants, Arlong Rongpi and Wilson Rongpi, surrendered at Diphu on Monday before the 72 Mountain Division. They deposited two pistols, three grenades and six rounds of live ammunition.
