Honda strike

New Delhi, Sept. 6: Contractual and casual workers of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have gone on a strike since this morning in protest against alleged manhandling of a colleague. Worker sources said around 1,500 contractual and casual employees have stayed away from work and have gone on a sit-in protest since this morning.

Mumbai, Sept. 6: The country’s forex reserves fell $1.97 billion to $295.30 billion for the week ended August 29. The reserves declined to $295.30 billion compared with $297.28 billion in the previous week, the Reserve Bank of India said in its weekly report. The foreign currency assets fell $932 million to $286.11 billion compared with 287.04 billion in the previous week.
