Balurghat, Sept. 5: The casual conservancy workers of the Balurghat Municipality have threatened to go on an indefinite strike if they are not paid regular wages.

Sucheta Biswas, the chairman of the civic body, however, said the question of paying the labourers a full day’s wage did not arise at all as they worked for a very short time.
