Guwahati, Sept. 5: Diesel Loco Modernisation Works today floored Diesel Locomotive Works 81-63 in a high-scoring men’s match on the third day of the weeklong 51st men’s & 32nd women’s All-India Railway Basketball Championship at the Railway Stadium here today.

This was Diesel Locomotive Works’ second consecutive defeat in the group league. They went down to West Central Railway 61-67 last evening.

In another high-scoring affair today, Southern Railway outplayed West Central Railway 62-47 while Chittaranjan Locomotive Works defeated Metro Railway, Calcutta, 41-35 in a keen contest.

South Central Railway got the better of North Eastern Railway 67-32 while North Western Railway inflicted a 73-48 defeat on Eastern Railway and Central Railway overpowered Northern Railway 65-43.

In the women’s court today, South East Central Railway tamed West Central Railway 57-16.
