Avoid using metal in your bedroom and try wooden furniture instead |
Q My date of birth is December 5, 1984 at 5.05pm. I have recently got engaged and will be getting married soon. I have a fascination for metal objects and want to my room renovated with metallic furniture. Please guide me on whether I should go ahead with this or not? I would also like to know about my future and my favourable, directions, colours and elements.

A: According to your pillars of destiny, you are a strong water person as you were born in early winter and have three elements of metal to support. You need to be balanced with wood, fire and earth elements and their related colours. These are shades of green, reds, maroons and beige, cream and yellow. Avoid using metal in your bedroom and have wooden furniture instead. Wooden flooring will further balance your excessive water elements. Bring warmth by introducing vibrant coloured drapes, lamps, candles and silk flowers. There has been a major change in your life for the positive from the year 2005. This will continue for two more years and then you will step into wood period. This will help you to express yourself where your hidden talent and potential will surface. Your kua number is 7 and auspicious directions are northwest, southwest, northeast and west in order of preference.
Q: We have shortlisted an upcoming multi-storied apartment, which is close to our children’s school and our office. At present we live far away in the suburbs and moving to such a centrally located area would make it very convenient. The only problem we face is that there are many electric poles right in front of the building and the wires droop from one pole to the other. I have gathered from your articles that these wires emit negative energy. Please suggest whether we should go ahead with it or not?

A: In general, any building with electric wires running close to it should not be selected as they emit shar chi or harmful energy. These are considered as purely negative manmade environmental form. If you have no choice but to select a flat in such an apartment then try to avoid the floors where the wire directly runs or droops across.
Q: We live in our ancestral house, where the architecture is such that most of the walls are slanting. It is difficult to knock them down to straighten them, as they are really thick and strong. Is there a way out to solve this problem? I have recently created a family corner in the northwest of our bedroom. Kindly let me know if this is an appropriate corner.
Divya Khaund
A: Slanting or tapered walls disturb the inflow of cosmic energy and adversely affect the mental peace of its occupants. This can be easily remedied by having a straight panelled wall, which when decorated helps to deviate your attention from the crooked wall to the newly panelled wall. This way you do not lose on space as the area behind the panelled wall can be used for storage. The catch behind it is that you can build wardrobes or runners in such way that a straight line is created within the room. This gives the room a regular shape and also softens the angular effect. These kinds of walls can also be treated and softened by hanging a subtle shade curtain in a straight line.
Family pictures, when placed in the northwest corner, get affected by its movement and the family tends to disperse. It is best to place them in the eastern zone where the energy of the rising sun helps to nourish the bond between each member and keeps them well united.
