Milkha hits out at Anju

New Delhi: Legendary sprinter Milkha Singh on Friday accused Anju Bobby George of cheating the nation and demanded an enquiry into why the Kerala athlete could not record even one valid jump in the Beijing Olympics, says Our Special Correspondent. “I was shocked to see that all her three attempts ended in fouls. She spend so much time training abroad but could do nothing. The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) should take action against her,” he said.

Humpy wins

Nalchik : Grandmaster Koneru Humpy started her campaign in the World Women’s Chess Championship beating Yorsa Alaa el Din of Egypt in the first mini match of the Round I on Friday.
