New Delhi, Aug. 27: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit flood-hit Bihar tomorrow and is expected to announce a relief package.

Home minister Shivraj Patil, railway minister Lalu Prasad and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi will accompany the Prime Minister when he surveys the submerged areas. Sonia Gandhi is expected to visit the state later.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar called on Singh today and briefed him on the situation. He also sought a central assistance of Rs 1,000 crore and 1 lakh tonnes of foodgrain. “The Prime Minister has promised me all help. I am confident of getting full support from the central government,” he told reporters.
