Giridih, Aug. 27: The change of guard at the state helm can bring no change to the people of Jharkhand, believes CPI(ML) MLA Vinod Singh.
“You are not going to see a charismatic Shibu Soren. He has had a tainted political career and you can expect no change in his way of governance compared to his earlier tenure,” Singh told reporters here today.
He was here to meet administrative officials over development matters. He is the lone CPI(ML) legislator, who plans to vote against the new government on September 1, when the vote of confidence takes place in the Assembly.
“Soren has become the chief minister to fulfil his own dreams and not that of the people of the state. Independent ministers are ruining the state and now they would once again support a new government. How much of a difference can Soren make with them?” the Bagoder MLA said.
He claimed that before being inducted as the chief minister, Soren had led the United Progressive Alliance. He had differences with Koda on every issue. “Now he has got the chance. Maybe his sons would run the show,” Singh said.
The CPI(ML) MLA also criticised the Left and Forward Bloc on their “double standards”.
“Recently, the Left broke off from the UPA but in Jharkhand they are backing the JMM-led UPA government,” said Singh.
Forward Bloc MLA Aparna Sengupta and CPI MLA Ramchandra Rai have extended their support to the Soren-led government.
