Absu appeals to Centre for probe
Kokrajhar: The All Bodo Students Union (Absu) on Sunday appealed to the Centre to form an inquiry commission to probe into the recent killings in the BTC area. “It is a well known fact that in the recent past the people of Bodoland witnessed uninterrupted killings...in the hands of anti-social elements and most surprisingly the role of the Assam government to prevent such killings was nothing,” Absu said.
rime Minister Manmohan Singh will lay the foundation stone of Kokrajhar University at Debargaon on Tuesday. “We, therefore, appeal to the Prime Minister to install an inquiry commission to find the truth,” the union said.
