Style according to you is...
Its about feeling comfortable in what you are wearing and carrying it off.
Wardrobe classics that will look great even 10 years down the line
In my wardrobe — a leather jacket from Armani, another jacket from Rohit Bal which already happens to be a decade old and a pair of Esprit jeans.
Five items in your closet you cant do without
Perfumes, hair gel, underwear, socks and bedsheets.
Bad buys — which eventually proved to be bad choices
A couple of jeans from Mango that were picked up on a whim. There are a few T-shirts too which have been lying unused because in hindsight I found them tacky.
Most extravagant buy
It has to be my Armani jacket that I got my friend to buy for me in London.
If you could change one part of your body, what would it be?
I would like to add two more inches to my height.
What do you like to mix and match when it comes to dressing?
I like to keep my style simple and casual. So I team up a T-shirt with a pair of jeans and sometimes throw in bright colours.
Do you throw away your clothes?
I give them away to whoever happens to be visiting me.
Your favourite shopping destination
I love street shopping in London.
You have a fetish for
Caps. I usually collect caps that are round in shape. They make me look natty. But my friends have borrowed so many that I have just one or two left with me.
Favourite accessories
Perfumes. Especially those from Armani and Rohit Bal.
Latest buys
A pair of jeans from Gap.
How would you describe your closet — well- organised and spanking clean or dreadfully cluttered?
I maintain a clean closet.
If money was no object, what would you add to your closet?
I would add perfumes. And apart from that, buy a Ferrari.
The trend you are sporting at the moment
I am wearing jeans and T-shirts, which I often team up with a light jacket when I am attending parties.
You would never leave home without...
My wallet, car keys and my gym gear.
Indian designers whose clothes you love wearing
I like jackets by Rohit Bal for their classic look. Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khannas formal pants are great buys because of their fittings. I also like Arjun Khanna for his long jackets and Hemant Sagar, simply because hes a classy designer.
Whose closet do you envy?
Nobodys in particular.
Vacation essentials
A camera, a perfume, a couple of jeans, T-shirts and a pair of flip-flops.
Is there any outfit you love to wear but which your family just hates?
Well, my mother never liked my torn and tattered pairs of jeans.
What aspect of fashion do you hate the most?
That theres no respect for a model.
Did you ever go through any wild fashion phase?
I have never really dressed bizarre.
The biggest fashion faux pas
Fashion is what you can carry off comfortably. Tight jeans with tight tops and loose jeans with loose shirts are putting off. Also I have seen this trend of wearing too many pendants together. It looks awful. Its when you want to show off that you know about fashion that things go awry.
