Imphal, Aug. 4: Poknapham, a leading Manipuri vernacular daily based here, failed to hit the stands on Monday after it suspended publication following threats from the Kangleipak Communist Party (Military Council).

The All Manipur Working Journalists Union and the Poknapham office said the outfit asked the daily to stop publication for failing to publish a statement issued by self styled “chief” of KCP (MC) L. Khuman.
