Ranchi, Aug. 1: Four out of five commissionerates of the state became “headless” from today after two senior IAS officials retired yesterday and one proceeding on central deputation.

While commissionerates of South Chhotanagpur, North Chhotanagpur, Palamau and Singhbhum-Kolhan are now bereft of any commissioner, Santhal Pargana region has commissioner in the form of senior IAS officer Bijay Kumar Tripathi. South Chhotanagpur and Singhbhum-Kolhan commissioner Nidhi Khare has proceeded on central deputation.

The state government posted Ashok Kumar Singh as regular development commissioner while Sushil Kumar Choudhary has been bestowed with three charges. Ranchi Municipal Corporation chief executive officer Aboo Bakr Siddiqui has been transferred to Chatra as deputy commissioner.
