Bata posts profit
Bata India Ltd has posted 80.8 per cent growth in its profit before tax for the first half of the year at Rs 34.3 crore compared with Rs 19 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. The company's turnover for the period under review increased 16.9 per cent to Rs 505.6 crore from Rs 432.5 crore in the year-ago period.
Usha Martin
Usha Martin Ltd has posted 39 per cent increase in its net sales at Rs 698.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 against Rs 503.76 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s profit after tax has increased 73 per cent to Rs 65.08 crore from 37.68 crore a year ago.
Glaxo show
GlaxoSmithKline has posted a net profit of Rs 114.86 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2008 compared with Rs 96.43 crore in the year-ago period. Total income of the company stood at Rs 442.80 crore in the reporting quarter against Rs 415.10 crore in the previous year.
IndusInd Bank
IndusInd Bank has posted 17.68 per cent growth in its gross income for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 at Rs 583.23 against Rs 495.60 crore in the year-ago period. Net interest income for the reporting quarter increased to Rs 102.80 crore from Rs 57.40 crore a year ago. Operating profit stood at Rs 45.87 crore against Rs 32.05 crore in the previous year.
IPCA Lab
IPCA Laboraties Ltd has posted a net total income of Rs 295.44 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 against Rs 249.88 crore in the year-ago period. Export sales for the quarter increased 40 per cent to Rs 152.52 crore from Rs 109.30 crore a year ago. Net profit stood at Rs 23.63 crore compared with Rs 34.72 crore a year ago.
Ramsarup
Ramsarup Industries Ltd has posted an 8 per cent increase in its total income in the June quarter at Rs 383.05 against Rs 354.73 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The operating profit of the company has increased 35 per cent to Rs 41.88 crore from Rs 30.95 crore in the year-ago period. The profit after tax has shot up 26 per cent to Rs 15.78 crore from Rs 12.54 crore in the year-ago period.
Vipul earning
Vipul Ltd has posted a 5 per cent increase in its revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 at Rs 81 crore from Rs 77 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s net profit for the reporting quarter stood at Rs 8.89 crore against Rs 8 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
Sobha growth
Sobha Developers Ltd has registered a 24 per cent growth in its net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008 at Rs 50.5 crore from Rs 40.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company’s turnover grew 30 per cent during the reporting period to Rs 348.8 crore from Rs 269.3 crore in the year-ago period.
