Ranchi, July 31: The high court on Thursday directed the Jharkhand government to continue with the fresh tender process for allotment of retail liquor outlets in the state, reports our correspondent.
The bench, however, cautioned the state that all decisions of settlement would be affected by the order of the court.
Petitioner Purushotam Lal Saroj had challenged the decision of the state government to cancel the earlier settlements and invite fresh tenders for allotment of retail liquor outlets. The petitioner argued that he was selected as the highest bidder for Koderma and Chatra and cancellation of the settlement process would effect him.
