Ranchi, July 25: The state government on Friday transferred five IAS officers and one in IFS (Indian Forest Service).

Cabinet secretary N.N. Pandey has been shifted to the energy department with additional charge of drinking water and science & technology. P.K. Jajoria, at present holding the charge of drinking water and science & technology, would replace Pandey.

Building construction secretary Amrendra Pratap Singh has been given the additional charge of the transport department, as Sajal Chakraborty was put under suspension after convicted in the fodder scam.

The project director of Jharkhand Education Project, Rajiv Arun Ekka, has been given the additional charge of managing director of Jharkhand State Agriculture Marketing Board.

Satyendra Singh would be the new NREGA commissioner. He will be holding the additional charge of director, Panchayati Raj.

Rural development minister Anosh Ekka had requested the chief minister to post a senior officer to supervise the rural job scheme.

D.K. Saxena, the special secretary in the social welfare department, has been transferred to the cabinet co-ordination department.
