Anil firms in pink of health

Mumbai, July 25: Anil Ambani group firm Reliance Power (RPower) has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 61.22 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008.

Consolidated total income stood at Rs 80.55 crore in the reporting quarter.

On a standalone basis, the company reported a profit after tax of Rs 59.70 crore and a total income of Rs 77.67 crore for the June quarter.

RPower’s net worth stood at Rs 13,598 crore, while earnings per share were Rs 0.26. The company is currently developing two power projects — Rosa Phase I (600 MW) and the Sasan mega power project (3,960 MW). “The first unit of Sasan is expected to be commissioned in December 2011 and the project is expected to take off by March 2013,” it said.

RNRL show

Reliance Natural Resources Ltd (RNRL) has reported a net profit of Rs 16 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, a 6.67 per cent growth from the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The firm posted a net profit of Rs 15 crore in the first quarter of 2008-09. Total income rose 42 per cent to Rs 93 crore in the latest quarter from Rs 65 crore in the same period last fiscal. RNRL shares closed at Rs 95.50, down 3.34 per cent on the bse.
