Bokaro, July 24: Following the order of Bokaro superintendent of police Priya Dubey, two police teams of Bermo and Gandhi Nagar visited a graveyard today from where bodies had been reportedly missing since the past several weeks.
They submitted contradictory reports regarding reasons behind the missing bodies.
The officer in charge of Bermo police station, Anand Mohan, said: “As the graveyards are situated mostly at secluded places in the middle of dense forests, there are chances of wild animals digging out the bodies.” But he also did not rule out the possibility of robbers stealing the bodies.
Dubey said that although the matter was still under investigation it would not be advisable for her to confirm the exact reason.
“Patrolling will be intensified in those areas where graveyards are situated,” Dubey said.
