Prakash goes down fighting

New Delhi: Indian Davis Cupper Prakash Amritraj fought brilliantly but eventually crashed out of the $75,000 ATP Challenger tournament in Aptos after losing the quarter final tie against Andrea Stoppini.

After going down in the first set, Stoppini of Italy staged a remarkable comeback to beat the Indian 6-7 (2-7), 7-5, 6-4 in the quarter final match.

Meanwhile, Harsh Mankad and Ashutosh Singh dumped second seeded pair of Joshua Goodall and Michael Ryderstedt to storm into the final of the euro 30,000 ATP Challenger tournament in Manchester. (PTI)
