Bidding adieu to B-school

Jamshedpur, July 19: A valedictory function for the customised finance and accounts training, an in-house training programme for executives of Dubai-based ETA Star Group, was hosted by the XLRI at MDP Centre this evening.

The ceremony was attended by K. Jafar Ali, the national head (human resources) of ETA, C.L. George, the dean of XLRI, presided over the function. Programme director Gourav Vallabh delivered the welcome address.

ETA Star Group, established in 1973, has an annual turnover of over four billion USD and employs over 51,000 people in 23 countries.

According to Vallabh, 20 executives of the company, with post-graduate degrees in accounts and finance, went through intensive training in International Financial Reporting Standards, United States Generally Accepted Accounting Standards, corporate finance, banking practices and other management related domain for three months at the XLRI campus.

He added that the programme stressed on accounting practices of different countries that ETA operates in.
