The chief information commissioner in-charge Rambilas Gupta would handle applications for information related to the secretariat while information commissioner Harish Chandra Patar Munda would handle applications pertaining to government departments in South Chhotanagpur division.
Baidya Nath Mishra has been given North Chhotanagpur division, also called Hazaribagh commissionery. Information commissioner Gangotri Kujur is responsible for handling applications from Palamau division and Prafull Kumar Mahto would take care of the Kolhan division. Sristi Dhar Mahto would look after Santhal Pargana division.
“Such division of work was done to ensure that cases are disposed of faster and smoother,” said Mishra, also the spokesperson of the information commission. “This method would enable a commissioner to handle the cases in a particular region.” If the chief info commissioner feels overburdened, he can assign jobs to deputies, he added.
