Love actually

KOEL: LOVE YOUR FAMILY, LOVE ME

Love means…

A beautiful feeling difficult to describe. It is unconditional and comes with a purity within. In school, love meant going for drives and candlelight dinners but with time you mature and the depth of it changes. It’s not a smooth ride, accompanied by ups and downs, highs and lows. But you get that feeling of belonging.

First time you fell in love...

I’ve had my share of crushes and infatuations during my school years. I remember going gaga over the most hero-like one around at a marriage party or at a football match! It was just looks that floored me. Now I look back and laugh. If I fall for someone now, I’d be thinking far more than just going out for dinners and movies. It would be more on the lines of marriage.

Love at first sight...

No way. Love as a feeling is something more deep. I’m too practical to let it happen so easily.

Your dream man…

Has to be trustworthy, sensible and responsible. He should also love his family a lot. If he respects his family I know he will respect me.

Love can make the world go round…

Absolutely! Love can do wonderful things to you. It’s magic.

Most romantic film you’ve watched…

Recently I loved watching Fanaa but my all-time favourite is Lamhe.

Most romantic book you’ve read…

Parineeta.

Most romantic song you’ve heard…

The Love Story theme song.

If the one you love dumps you…

I wouldn’t let that happen. If someone I loved was about to dump me I would definitely have a hunch. So, I’d dump him before he does.

You’ve secretly adored…

I’m very fond of Shekhar’s character in Parineeta. I’d love to have someone like Shekhar in my life. Let the rest remain a secret.

JISSHU: EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE

Love means…

Understanding each other. The feeling I had when I was 14 is different from the way I felt about love when 30. It’s when you stop expecting a lot of things that you understand what loving someone means. The last time I fell in love I got married!

First time you fell in love…

It was when I was 15. She was someone I met through a friend.

Love and marriage happened…

I was going through a bad patch when I met Nilanjanaa. I didn’t give too much time to courtship. I didn’t want to lose her so I proposed marriage the moment I fell in love with her....

Friends can fall in love…

Nilanjanaa and me started off as buddies and we’re very good pals even now. We’ve been married for more than three years now and most of all it’s the friendship that keeps us going.

Love can make the world go round…

Yes it can. You feel happy and confident. It feels like life has just gotten started.

Most romantic film you’ve watched…

Serendipity. It’s Nilanjanaa and my story to a certain extent.

Most romantic song you’ve heard…

Lionel Ritchie’s Hello and Every breath you take by Police.

Love becomes boring when…

When in love, you never get bored.

The craziest thing you’ve done in love…

I had landed up at Nilanjanaa’s place without informing her to meet her parents and tell them that I wanted to marry their elder daughter. They were shocked and Nilanjanaa was super-shocked. But everyone was happy. Apart from that I love surprising Nilanjanaa every now and then by paying her surprise visits in between my shoots.

To fall in love again…

I’d have to fall out of love and that would never happen.
