Basseterre: Andrew Symonds blasted 87 off 78 balls to lead Australia to 282 for eight off 50 overs against the West Indies in the fourth ODI at Warner Park.

The powerful allrounder hit 10 fours and two sixes and shared a fifth wicket stand of 127 with David Hussey, who hit 50 on his debut.

Michael Hussey (37) and Michael Clarke (36) also made useful contributions. Fidel Edwards took two for 53, while Daren Powell claimed two for 66. (AP)
