Father seeks CBI probe

Dumka, July 4: Father of the slain Bundu deputy superintendent of police, Pramod Kumar, has demanded a CBI probe into the killing.

The deceased’s father, B.P. Tanti, alleged that his son was killed as he got to know of a police-politician nexus that was involved in the recent loot of an ICICI armoured cash van.

Tanti who was on his way to Allahabad, said he would visit Ranchi to hand over his memorandum to the governor, urging a CBI inquiry into the entire episode. He said that there were loose ends in the “murder” and that only CBI could tie them up.
