Feng Shui
Create your own destiny

Although chance, luck and destiny may sound synonymous, they actually have diverse meanings.

Chance is something mechanical. When an individual gambles either in a casino or at a racecourse, he can rely on his or her calculations. That is chance. Even when the lottery tickets are bought one can win, by chance.

The word “chance” does not affect us directly. Unlike chance, luck and destiny are much more personal and directly affect many things in our lives. The Chinese explain this difference between chance and luck through a trinity. This comprises heaven luck, earth luck and man luck. The first is totally unchangeable whereas the latter two are in our control.

For the Chinese, destiny is referred to as heaven luck. It is the luck one is born with and is determined by the time and date of birth, which influences the entire course of our lives.

However, the Chinese are of the opinion that one can greatly benefit from one’s destiny as it can help to discover guidelines for future decision making. Destiny or heaven luck can even explain one’s present situation and help one to gain guidance.

The Chinese have from time immemorial been curious as to why some people are born lucky while others have to work hard to make their luck stronger. They generated a theory of luck with which comes the most complicated system of astrology of the world. The most common of these is the four pillar system which deduces your balance by calculating which of the five elements were the strongest at the hour, day, month and year of your birth.

Heaven luck is one that never remains the same and keeps changing with the passage of time. When one is under the influence of favourable elements then it can be considered as the most fruitful time of his life as everything works in his favour. On the other hand, when this phase fades out, the same person can find himself amidst health and financial problems. At this point of time, his pillars would show a strong negative energy .

Chinese astrology can be most beneficial at this junction where the person can be made aware of his future in advance. This will warn him to take extra care of his health and prevent him from spending money recklesslesly and approaching things more cautiously in life.

Second comes earth luck, which is our immediate surrounding or environment and is known as feng shui. We as human beings have the power to bring changes in our immediate setting, unlike heaven luck.

If proper corrections, changes, remedies and enhancements are made in our home or at the workplace, they protect us or reduce the intensity of difficult times.

Good feng shui can bring opportunities and good prospects that may help you to maximise your good luck and achieve great success in life. It definitely helps us to engineer our earth luck, which, in return, enhances all our different aspirations of life.

Finally in the trinity of luck, man luck is one which can be controlled and is completely created by ones own effort, action and hard work.

The Chinese believe that one can improve his man luck by improving personal attitude, deeds and by optioning good education. Even adopting a positive attitude in life can bring sea change in the so- called man luck. People who make an effort to influence their luck will find that they have access to more opportunities in life.

Every human being enjoys all the three lucks combined together. It varies from individual to individual how much they strive or work in their life to achieve their desired goals.
